Windows 7 Updates

On Tuesday, Microsoft posted 9 updates for Windows 7.

As it turns out, one of these conflicts with other software installed on the system and they are now advising that this update should be uninstalled.

The Windows 7 system will fail to start with everyones favourite Blue Screen with the following error
STOP: c000021a {Fatal System Error} The Session Manager Initialization system process terminated unexpectedly with a status of 0xC000003a (0x00000000 0x00000000). The system has shutdown.

It is blamed, by Microsoft, on 3rd Party software and they have withdrawn the update.

If you click on the + On this page it will open out and provide you with instructions for removal of this update if you have it.

If you follow the method using the control panel --> uninstall option you will need to scroll down to the section Microsoft Windows.

If you have already restarted and you have issues, you may need to find your windows 7 disk, but follow the onscreen prompts.  You should be able to access the page from a tablet or smartphone so that you can follow them.
